Still fugitives from the Jazz Police, Tyra Penn and her intrepid Army Of Snakes will slither into the Acton Jazz Cafe to celebrate Ms. Penn's survival of both the economic downturn and her recent birthday. Selections, as always, will include songs by the great North American Jazz composers Tom Waits, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen and Bjork Gudmundsdottir. Perhaps some jazz standards will even be heard.
 
The rhythmically astute are invited to bring along hand percussion instruments of all kinds, to join in at a critical moment in the program. Tin cans, tambourines, guiras, cabasas, castanets, claves...all are welcome.
